Bloodhound Description
The Bloodhound is a huge, powerful hound with a long muzzle and gorgeous, droopy ears. They have loose, wrinkled skin with a conspicuous dewlap. Their coat is short and can be black and tan, liver and tan or red.Bloodhound Character
Bloodhounds are gentle natured, affectionate and will adapt quickly to other dogs and children. Although they are a giant breed they are hopeless as watchdogs, they would never attack anyone as they are just too placid. They are intelligent but they also possess a very strong willed nature making them a challenge to train. The Bloodhound does have a tendency to drool, snore and will also howl! If they are not in a pack, when off the lead they are very prone to wandering off, especially if they are distracted by an interesting scent so you must take caution when out walking. Please note: This is only a guide.
