Cockapoo Description
The Cockapoo is quite possibly the first dog to set the trend of the so called ‘designer pooches’ where two breeds are mixed together to form one. The Poodle and the Cocker Spaniel are present in the Cockapoo. They actually come in four varying sizes due to the range of size in Poodles; Teacup Toy = under 6lbs, Toy = under 12lbs, Mini = under 18lbs and the standard size which is noted above. The Cockapoo’s coat is generally long and either wavy or curly, they are a very low to non-shedder, their ears are pendant styled, they usually have smallish, brown eyes and the hair will need cutting from to allow the dog to see! The Cockapoo has a myriad of coat colourations available including golden, black, white, tan and brown.

The Cockapoo has the luxury of inheriting the intelligence of the Poodle and the beautiful sweet nature of the Cocker Spaniel, they are certainly a breed which thrives on a family environment. They adore children and due to their placid nature generally accept other household pets well, hopeless as a watchdog as they are simply too friendly! They have medium-high energy levels coupled with a loving and affectionate personality. Generally a happy breed which loves to please and is always ready for a cuddle!
