German Shepherd Description
A large, muscular breed of dog. They have a slightly elongated body with a long muzzle and stunningly bushy tail. Their ears are large, triangular shaped and erect. The coat is dense and can be long or short. They are typically black and tan although white German Shepherds have been regarded as a distinct breed too.
German Shepherd Character
German Shepherds are not for novice owners as they demand a lot of work. They are highly active and wonderfully intelligent. They will accept children, and are good with other animals as long as the brought up correctly (as with any breed). German Shepherds are protective over their family making them excellent watchdogs.
